Grassroots Dialogue - Greece
About the Project
Defence for Children International Greece (DCI-Greece)’s Grassroots Consultation project focus is ‘Justice as We See it - Youth Voices for Just and Belonging Systems’: Children in migration in contact with asylum proceedings.
DCI-Greece is a grassroots organisation established in 2016, standing among the few human rights actors in the country that consistently defend and monitor the rights of children and youth. Through our Socio-Legal Defence Centre, we work directly on the ground - where displacement, exclusion, and resilience intersect - offering protection, legal aid, and psychosocial support to children and young people in need.
At DCI-Greece, we believe that every child deserves more than protection - they deserve power. Through targeted socio-legal support, mentorship, and empowerment, we help them reclaim their agency, understand their rights, and rebuild their futures with dignity and confidence.

“Responding to children’s distinct needs, and realising their full range of rights and opportunities, is the basis to achieving peaceful, just and inclusive societies for all.”
