The interconnectedness of crime prevention, criminal justice, the rule of law and digital transformation will be under the spotlight at the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, hosted by the Government of the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi.
The Global Working Group on Justice for Children co-hosts two key events:
Advancing Child-Centred Justice: Accelerating SDG 16 through Justice Reform in times of Global Transformation.
Children’s Views at the Heart of SDG 16: Grassroots Dialogues on Children’s Justice Journeys to Accelerate Justice Transformation.

2024 | OECD Roundtable on Equal Access to Justice | Ottawa, Canada | Workshop - Equal Access to Justice for Children in Child Welfare & Justice Systems.
This OECD Roundtable Workshop was hosted in collaboration with the OECD, the Department of Justice, Canada and the Institute for Inspiring Children’s Futures, as lead of the Global Working Group on Justice for Children.
The Workshop focused on supporting governments to ensure children have equal access to justice, free from structural inequalities, discrimination and exclusion.

This HLPF 2024 Official Side Event was graciously Sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Sierra Leone to the United Nations in New York, with Co-Sponsors the Permanent Missions of Canada, Luxembourg and Spain. It was hosted at Baker & McKenzie New York Offices, and organised by the Global Working Group on Justice for Children, led by the Institute for Inspiring Children’s Futures at the University of Strathclyde, with the Global Initiative on Justice with Children, Terre des hommes, and the NGO Panel on Children Deprived of Liberty.
