The interconnectedness of crime prevention, criminal justice, the rule of law and digital transformation will be under the spotlight at the 15th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, hosted by the Government of the United Arab Emirates, taking place in Abu Dhabi from 25 to 30 April 2026.
As the world faces profound change, criminal justice systems need to adapt to rapid technological advancements to be able to protect individuals and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, as well as the environment, from the adverse effects of crime, violence and exploitation.
The United Nations Crime Congress, a diverse gathering of governments, civil society, academia and experts, will consider practical, forward-looking solutions to help deliver security, justice and prosperity for all.
Some of the topics that will be discussed include access to justice, innovative crime prevention strategies, cooperation and partnerships in criminal justice and tackling new and emerging forms of crime.
